Safety
1.
Follow all Safety Rules and Warnings.
2.
View instructional video before using the AIR CHAIR
3.
If the Air Chair veers to the right or the left during your first
attempts to start, your body weight is too far back. Reposition
yourself forward on the seat, and lean further forward with your
shoulders.
4.
If the ski tip continually sinks upon starting and you are pulled
over the front of the ski in a failed attempt to start, you must
apply more pressure with your feet and move your shoulders further
back.
5.
When the "taxi position" is achieved, slowly sit up straight and
relax.
6.
Do not over compensate; small movements have a big effect when
raising or lowering your hands in flight and when learning to
turn.
7.
If you loose control, are in trouble, or simply need to stop,
let go of the tow rope. You will stop quickly and return to the
upright starting position.
8.
Do not lean backwards unless intending to jump.
9.
Never loan your Air Chair to anyone without first giving proper
safety instructions, including the proper use of the seat belt
and the safety heelstraps, (ankle leashes for advanced riders)
Also have them view the video.
Some
other tips you may find very helpful.
Never use an easy up handle for the Air Chair, they are too long
and the "Deep V " that we offer is custom made for the Air Chair.
As a spotter, always keep your eye on the rider, use a quick release,
and as with any water sport be prepared for the unexpected. If
you are riding without control, throw the handle away from yourself
and you will stop. It is always good to have a well experienced
boat driver when doing watersports behind a boat. For the Air
Chair rider you do not have to pull them out of the water at high
speeds, because of the hydrofoil it wants to rise to the surface
anyway. Never ride in shallow water.
BEFORE
EACH RIDE YOU SHOULD:
*Check the tightness of all bolts and screws.
*Check your safety belt for extreme wear or fraying.
*Check your foot bindings for damage or weathering.
*Make sure your quick pin is properly inserted and your wing nut
is on.
*Replace any safety items showing wear that may affect the riders
personal safety or the safety of others. Separation of parts may
result in injuries including death or dismemberment.
